L. Hines, Ph.D. |
Dr. David
Hines provides strategic regulatory advice, program
and project management services, and expertise in manufacturing
process development and development of analytical methods.
Dr. Hines’s scientific expertise is Immunology.
Prior to consulting, Dr. Hines was an independent product
development and regulatory affairs consultant to the
animal health and biotech industries. Dr. Hines has
over 15 years experience in the development and US and
international registration of regulated products in
the animal health industry. At Heska corporation he
was the Vice President of Product Development and Regulatory
Affairs responsible for the US and international registration
of veterinary vaccines, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Hines supervised the design and interpretation of
clinical trials, and the preparation of regulatory filings
for a number of unique health products for companion
animals. Prior to joining Heska, Dr. Hines was Manager
of Virology Vaccine Research and Development for Solvay
Animal Health supervising US research and development
of canine, feline, equine, and swine vaccines. Dr. Hines
has extensive experience with the introduction of new
manufacturing processes and process improvement.
Dr. Hines obtained his Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology
and Immunology from the Medical School at The Ohio State
University. After graduation, Dr. Hines did postdoctoral
research at the Michigan Cancer Foundation on immune
responses to murine retroviruses and subsequently obtained
independent National Institute of Health grant support
for investigations of murine retrovirus biology. Dr.
Hines became a member of the Trudeau Institute, a research
institution devoted to the study of immunobiology, and
continued to obtain grant funds for the study of immune
responses to viruses and tumors.
As Chief Scientific Officer at CBR International, Dr. Hines
has expanded the company's expertise in the areas of
scientific review, project management, and immunology,
as well as bringing 15 years experience in the development
and registration of animal health products.
